History

The Production Company “Art-Studio” was foundedin 1995. We started out as a workshop for making exclusive copies of historicalworks and works of art.
Since 1996, we have worked in close collaboration withmuseums of the world. The superior quality of the reproductions from theoriginal artefacts held in well-known museums are the result of our many years of experience.

“Art-Studio” is constantly expanding its creation of exquisite, artistic gifts and seeks to produce the highest quality copies from the most well-known museums in the world. Our company takes pride in satisfying the refined taste of our valued clients and collectors of beautiful, exclusive gifts which are not only for decoration, but display certain historical information, testified to in the certificate.

In 2012, we started our activity in UAE and in 2014, opened our office in Dubai.

Alexander Prokhorov was born on the 11th of November in 1972 in Sergiev Posad (Zagorsk), and graduated from middle school No. 15.

He studied Martial Arts at the club named “Cascade”.

From 1989 to 1991 he served in the Soviet Army in the 83rd Waterborne Assault Brigade-Reconnaissance company.

In 1990, he joined the Navy Special Mission Unit and was involved in “cleanup” operations and the establishment of constitutional order in areas of international conflict. In 1991, he worked directly under the General of the Army, A.J. Lebed.

After completing his service, he established the firm “PromAlpResavratsiya” which has restored over twenty Orthodox churches and monasteries.

In 1993, he entered the History department of the Moscow State Open Pedagogical University.

He has participated in archaeological expeditions in Central Asia: Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and from 1994-1995, studied at the training center of the Russian Defense Ministry: specialization-sapper.

In 2006 he graduated from the Sorbonne - Department of History of the Ancient Orient.

He is the author of numerous scientific works on security issues in Central Asia and in 1998, under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Science he organized a popular science magazine, "Lost World" with the theme: history, adventure and discovery.

The production company, ART STUDIO, was created in 2000 and within two years, became the official supplier for the Gift Fund of the President of the Russian Federation and opened representative offices in 2003 in St. Petersburg and Sochi.

ART STUDIO has access to work in the State Armory, the State Hermitage and the State Historical Museum.Alexander spent time working in the Middle East as part of a humanitarian mission and in 1996, crossed the Karakum Desert alone, setting a new world record of 23 days.

He is the recipient of State and public awards.

Hobbies include skiing, yachting, spear fishing, cycling, boxing and numismatics.
